Thankful Thoughts

Thursday, November 26, 2015

I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving! I just wanted to take today and say for some of the things that I am thankful for, with that being said - I am thankful for MANY things. This is just a small portion.

I am thankful for my mom: Who has been through everything with me. Who gives me her full support in everything I do. Who gives me more than just support; love, laughter, friendship, and so much more. My mom and I are very close, someone I can't wait to go home to and tell everything that happened during my day. The one person I text daily about the most random things. Through the times of taking trips to Target, Charlotte, and Greenville. From the long days of watching Netflix and eating those Sesame Seed things we love. Then lastly for helping me with so much for making this Blog work.

I am thankful for small bundles of joy: By that I mean my little Jack Russell Terrier - Olive. Who always is excited for when we come home, who joins me during my lunch break and begs for my food. Who knows its time to go to bed when I brush my teeth at night. Who will watch tv with me during my lazy days. Then the next day gives me a sign I need to get off my butt - when she is begging to play with her ball. Even though her hairs get stuck in my clothes (especially my black leggings), will always take my kisses any day.

I am thankful for everyone else in my family: Although we all may not get along, we may want to pull each others hair out. But I am thankful for my dad and my three older brothers. Who nags me daily and bothers me nonstop, even comes in my room without knocking (insert annoyed face). The times when I claim myself as one of the guys because of growing up with only brothers. But in the end I know both my dad and brothers would be any where for me if I ever needed them.

Remember this is just a portion of all that I am thankful for, I almost went all the way into how thankful I am for Netflix and junk food... What are you thankful for? Let me know! Remember spend time with your friends or family and take each day with gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving!

How I Style - J.Crew Vest

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Outfit for Nov 252
It is Thanksgiving week which means fall is officially here in the South. That does mean we may have random 60 to 70 degree weather on some days - which is annoying because I love wearing flannels, vests, and boots! This outfit has some of my favorite pieces at the moment. I am wearing my Flannel Quilted Vest from J.Crew with these awesome purple/burgundy J.Crew Factory pants, then this New York & Company cable knit sweater that I got from Goodwill! And of course my Sam Edelman Petty Boots that I have been obsessing over for roughly a month now. I have been wearing these boots nonstop and already thinking about getting another pair of Sam Edelman boots!

With Thanksgiving tomorrow and Black Friday coming so quickly I want to know what your plans are! I am going to my grandparents tonight and then will be coming home tomorrow to get ready for the shopping adventures. Also is there anything deals you are excited about? Or what are you wanting to buy during the Black Friday shopping?

If you like the necklace I am wearing I got it in my Rocksbox for this month - if you would like to get a free first month of Rocksbox use "darlinginlillyxoxo" PLUS each month you get $10 to use to purchase towards anything you get in your box!

Make sure you subscribe to my emails on the sidebar to get an email for when I post! Go follow my Instagram as well - @darlinginlilly

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy this time with your friends and family!

Thanksgiving Outfits Collab with Navy Striped Peonies

Thursday, November 19, 2015

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. Oprah Winfrey

Go ahead and start the time for gathering around the table with family and friends sharing sweet times and giving thanks for the many blessings we have in life. Thanksgiving is the beginning of my favorite time of the year. In the middle of fall, with chilly short nights, the beautiful color of the trees, and the burnt turkeys (good ole family stories).

I love the holidays! I mean who doesn't? I think we all have either searched Pinterest for holiday related pins or have a massively full board for holidays stuff. I love the outfit planning process, every year I think about what I want to wear.

Today I am collaborating with Paulina from Navy Striped Peonies to share what we are planning to wear for Thanksgiving. We all have been in the situation where a couple of days before its time to head to either grandparents houses or family members or cleaning for the family to come your house, and you think what are you going to wear? Here is an idea on what I will be wearing and hopefully you get some inspiration on what to wear to your gatherings!

I saw how to style the blanket scarf this way somewhere along Pinterest. I fell in love with how cute it looks - also it is very different for wearing a scarf! I think this would be perfect for the Black Friday shopping festivities due to standing in the cold, freezing. Well all you would need to do is take the scarf off and use it as a blanket! Easy as that! Did you even notice how it gives the look of the trendy Ponchos? So many perks with this outfit!

Wanted to thank my mom who helped me take these pictures
(who has also been through this journey with me) and also thank you Paulina for
collaborating with me for this fun Thanksgiving post!

I was sent this adorable tassel monogram key chain, and immediately fell in love with it! I have loved Marley Lilly for a long time now and their products are always so cute and unique! So when I saw the opportunity, I jumped on it!

Happy Birthday Lilly Pulitzer!

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

With today being Lilly Pulitzers Birthday, I thought I would share a glimpse of my journey with Lilly Pulitzer. I started buying Lilly for myself Spring 2014! I purchased my first Lilly dress to be my Easter dress that year. The year before my mom found a Lilly dress at Goodwill so I wore it and that is when I fell in love with her clothes!

Where Have I Been? - Update!

Friday, November 6, 2015

So, I apologize that I did not post anything yesterday. I was super busy this week with working late and babysitting for my neighbor, all came up so quickly and time got shorter. Yesterday I got a new upgrade for my phone, I finally got a iPhone 6s Plus Rose Gold! I have had an iPhone 5s for the past two years, and so happy I have a new phone! With that being said - better quality photos for blog!

Another big thing is that I am now a influencer for Rocksbox - which is a monthly subscription box to receive a highly curated box of designer jewelry to borrow for a monthly fee. Each month is $19 and you get $10 each month to go towards a piece of jewelry you would like to purchase that you have received in your box, which it will be discounted from retail price. Each box is to retail around $200 which is crazy to think about! If you would like to get your first month for free you can use my code - "darlinginlillyxoxo" and take the survey to get a box sent to you for free during the first month.

To look forward these next two months: I will be having some exciting holiday posts coming your way! I have been thinking about some post to do, so if any requests or ideas, PLEASE let me know in the comments! I would love to do some posts upon requests! Also what are you wanting for Christmas? And NO, it's not too early to have a Christmas Wish List!

Have you seen some of my latest posts? You should go check them out!
