Tieks OBSESSED

Have you ever been interested in Tieks? My goodness, I have been obsessed with them for years and never even owned a pair yet! This Christmas my gift was this beautiful pair of Champagne Tieks (which were only available during the weekend after Thanksgiving!). The moment I noticed my gift was Tieks, I was beyond excited and overjoyed! I first want to say look how adorable is the packaging! With the release of a Champagne color, Tieks went to the extra with the package. Added a cookie in the shape of a Champagne bottle, confetti tissue paper, and tinsel filled the box.

There have many reasons I have wanted a pair of Tieks, even after the price tag.

  1. The reviews for them are amazing

  2. The quality leather is meant to last

  3. Multiple color options

  4. Claim to be comfortable

  5. I hate every other ballet flats I purchase

  6. I have to wear closed toed shoes at one of my jobs

  7. The blue prints are adorable, especially the blue box

The many reasons I have wanted a pair, make up for the month I have been wearing mine. The day I got them I immediately wore them and pretty much daily since then. I have worn them everywhere when I did not need to wear old shoes or my bean boots because of the snow.

It now has been roughly a month wearing my pair of Tieks and I have to say that all I want is more Tieks! They live up to their name and so much more. At one of my jobs, I have to wear closed-toe shoes and these have been worn almost daily! I will mention I have never really loved wearing a pair of ballet flats and these have been chosen over many of my favorite pair of shoes. I feel like my other shoes are feeling lonely, as if they could speak to me. I am now officially stating that I am in love with my Tieks and recommend them to anyone who is interested in a pair.

My Year in Pictures | 2016

The NEW YEAR is upon us. 2016 has left and 2017 has made an entrance. The year that I will turn 21, the year I finally have joined a gym, and a year for more exciting things to come. Can you believe is finally 2017?! Me neither! To start out the new year upon us I thought I would share some of my favorite photos from this past year. I love looking back at the year and see some of my favorite moments.

This was the year that my mom stepped in multiple times to have photo shoots with me. Having me ask her many questions how an outfit looks.

The year I went on my first "big girl" trip with my 3 friends over summer. The time I had to actually plan on how much money I would need for a week away from home.

This year I gained so much knowledge on how to take photos for my blog. Especially after finally getting a DSLR camera over the summer. Finding my favorite places to have photo shoots, especially the white wall.

The year I bought two Lilly Pulitzer sets then finally caved in and bought Lilly pants and leggings. Then also found out I have an obsessed over the Lilly skorts. Then finally bought so much Lilly I received the Lilly beach chairs, umbrella, and the suitcase.

2016 was the year I turned 20, crazy to think this year I will be 21! I am finally living in my twenties and the best days are still yet to come. I never like to set resolutions for when a new year comes up. I like to have goals for the future to come. I like to have either an idea what I want to do with my life or a plan. I do have a goal this year to gain blogging experiences. I love blogging and after having a month break in December I am beyond excited getting back into things!

Snow Day in the South

Within the first week of January in 2017, we get snow in South Carolina. Yes, the place that goes crazy then obsessively buys milk and bread like the world is ending. I took advantage of the beautiful background and covered ground to show this outfit off. I have this Vineyard Vines vest from last year that came back this year in navy, that no longer on the website I guess it sold out! I love this vest, I don't pull it out much but I love pairing it with a pink top.

I am wearing my pink Shep Shirt, which is never a bad idea that is always available! A Shep Shirt is perfect for layering a long sleeve underneath and having another jacket or a vest over. The pink goes so well with the hunter green and brown suede on the vest, that adds a small pop of color.

Every time it snows, I like to put on my must have bean boots and having my feet completely dry as walking through the snow. Bean Boots are an essential when it comes to a wet day, not having to worry about ruining a pair of shoes is so nice. Plus they are not hard to find outfits that look great with them.
