Decorating For Christmas

Happy December 1st! This year I am going to try my BEST to succeed in doing 25 day of Christmas on my blog! I have been working so hard these past few weeks to make this possible! I hope all the work pays off and hope you enjoy it all! I have most days all planned what I will post - but if you have any requests or ideas for me to post about, PLEASE let me know!! Heres to the FIRST DAY OF DECEMBER!

Not gonna lie, I put my Christmas Tree up at the beginning of November... This year the spirit hit me so soon! I was in Target around the first weekend of November and all the Christmas decorations were out and I had to pick some things! Ever since then, each time I go back more and more decorations are out! With my new bedroom having so much more space I am all for the decor everywhere! Last year they had these adorable glitter reindeer and ornament and missed out on them last year, this year they brought them back and I purchased as soon as possible!

The dollar section has also been great with cheap adorable pieces to add around my room. Finding decorations for Christmas time in the dollar section and Target makes it easy and not breaking the bank. I also recently browsed in T.J.Maxx to see what they had nothing as good as Target! Target is always a win-win situation!

This reindeer decoration was only $8 and they had another option as well! These bottle brush trees were $1 in the dollar section and they had so many more options, some small like these and few larger for $3!

I purchased the Bean Boot key chains recently and decided to use them as ornaments on my tree this year! Enjoy these photos of some other decorated places in my house!

Favorite Liquid Lipsticks

Lately I have been going makeup crazy with some posts. Makeup is always a favorite of mine even if I take 20 minutes to put it on for maybe only 2 hours of going out with a friend. Last week I talked about drugstore mascaras. This week I am transitioning to liquid lipsticks. Both high-end and drugstore. If I find a product I love, I find the need to tell you all about it. I have always loved lipsticks, I don't wear foundation or powder, but I love lipsticks, mascaras, and my brow products.

I have maybe over 70 lip products, is that too much? Well I always like to refer back to this quote:

"Too much is never enough"

I can never have the perfect amount of lipsticks. When I found two types of liquid lipsticks that ARE NOT matte recently I fell in love! I always want a lip product that is easy to have in my car or in my purse that won't melt. Yes, there is lip gloss, but I just have never been a fan of the glossy sticky lip gloss. These are two options for liquid lipsticks that are not matte. They both have a good range of color selections, hopefully they will have more one day. Another plus about these lip products, you can find them at Ulta. Ulta always has deals or coupons going on, always is a great place to check out makeup!

These are the Too Faced ones that I have. Fig is almost like a berry color and is perfect for fall! Peony is a perfect pink for year round!

Each of these colors on the L'Oréal Lip Paints represent the colors shown. I love the Wild Rose color as an everyday pink color. Fearless Fuschia is a bright pink perfect for summer, Sultry Sangria is a full on fall and winter deep color. There is even metallic and matte options of these Lip Paints - check them out on Ulta as well!

Hope you are enjoying these makeup related posts lately.

High End Mascaras Favs & Fails

Did you read the drugstore mascara FAVS & FAILS? If not go read it after you read this post. Like I said in that post, mascara is my favorite makeup product. I use it daily even on a day with light makeup. Today is all about high-end mascaras. I have used so many and most likely missed a few! My favorite way to try new mascaras is from Sephora the LASHSTASH. I have purchased two of them before and still using the one I purchased last Christmas time. They are great for anyone who loves makeup. Which would be a great gift for the upcoming holidays.

With this post up now, I still have SO many mascaras in my makeup drawers that I still need to try out. I kept holding this post off because I still have many to use. But I will never be done trying new mascaras. There will always be favorites added and ones I hate added to the FAIL list.

Next week I will be sharing my favorite liquid lipsticks!

Drugstore Mascaras Favs & Fails

I am obsessive mascara lover. I have been for as long as I have worn "makeup". Mascara is probably the most talked about makeup product. Brands are always bringing out more and more new kinds. When it comes to mascara that I love it usually has a great wand. I think the wand is the most important part then the formula comes next. You see all the time drugstore brands having similar wands as high-end mascaras. Everyone wants to get the review of having the BEST mascara.

Read below each image to see what my drugstore mascara FAVS & FAILS are!

When it comes to mascara I will try any kind if my wallet allows it. The good things about drugstore ones, is you usually can find a coupon someone to get one cheaper. I will say out of these above, the Lash Paradise one is by far my all time favorite one. I tried it with a coupon of course, I was excited because it was compared to be better than the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I haven't tried that one yet, I have a sample to try soon. This one is a MUST HAVE for me. You can see all these mascaras are from Covergirl and L'Oréal. Which is my favorite drugstore mascara brands. The main makeup products I buy from drugstore brands is mascaras. They work just as good as high-end ones. But trust me a have love for the high-end ones as well.

Have you ever tried a mascara and hated it from the moment you first tried it. These made that cut. I could not recommend these to anyone! I hate when I have a mascara I hate and then I try to make sure I use it up the most I can handle it. I HATE wasting and wasting a hated mascara still makes me cringe. I can't begin to explain how I don't like these three. I just don't recommend anyone to even try them.

Thanks for reading today's post! I will have a post all on HIGH-END mascaras VERY SOON!

Alpacas are SO in

Lilly is giving us Alpacas and Llamas everywhere! All I can say is I'm glad it is not elephants right now. This print just came out today and it is gorgeous! I love this Bay Dress in Alpaca my Bags, I have one from last year, this style is just as great as the Marlowe and Linden dresses. Give me all the comfy dresses from Lilly Pulitzer! I live in these year round!

With the fall leaves changing, I figured I could not go wrong with going to this park where I live. The trees are gorgeous right now, the red leaves are my favorite! I decided to break out my Frye riding boots for this outfit. I don't wear them that often, but the color of them looks so great with the fall leaves. I bought these about three years ago during the Nordstrom anniversary sale.

Can you spot the new purse? Yes, I got this Tory Burch purse last week and it is amazing! I have seen Kate from Lonestar Southern have it for a few months now and I needed to have it. This purse was on a great sale and couldn't pass it up! This Kendra Scott necklace has been a great piece to throw on with any dress. Which I purchased it during the Nordstrom sale this past summer and love it! I always love any Kendra Scott jewelry, I usually wearing something from there daily.

Let me tell you about the lipstick I have been wearing like crazy. It is from Nars - yes it is expensive, but I have no complaints about it! I got it during a time when you could use a 20% off, if you are interested in it buy it during those times! It is the color Anna in the Audacious line.

Some exciting news - I most likely will start my clinicals at a high school next semester! That means I can finally wear all my Lilly dresses when I become a teacher one day!

Lilly Pulitzer New Arrivals

New Lilly

I'm obsessed with the Llamas. Give me them ALL! I was so in love with the No Prob Llama print that was released about two weeks ago. Then I saw that some of the llamas are upside down within the print and I just couldn't go through getting the pants, which I wanted so bad! When I tried on the pants for the first time I tried on the Elba sweater and fell in love with that sweater as well! Even though the print has upside down llamas, I do love all the colors. The sweaters, I may need to get both, they are amazing and are perfect for any outfit! You could wear with a pair of jeans and comfy flats or maybe dress it up with a pair of printed pants like shown with some wedges for the night.

The Ophelia dresses are in the top 5 of my favorite Lilly pieces. I only have two so far and want so many! I love a swing dress and with small details as a flared sleeve is a perfect touch. This one shown is something so different from most quarter sleeve dresses you would find.

Let me know what are some of your favorites from the new arrivals lately! You can see below I am loving the sand neutral color! It goes with SO many outfits and is always in style!
